The NONAME is a Chinese punk rock institution over 20 years
running. here with a blast comes the hottest punk rock import from the
far east- from Xian China! masterminded by vocalist and band head
honcho Ray, whom is sick and tired of this ruling line, he finds his kind of
freedom in the music by starting his own revolution against all false
hope in this world. furthermore these maniacs show them their Tough
attitude straight to their faces and fighting against all limits. their music
can be described as a mix between pure punk rock from the 80s and
straight hardcore with heavy guitars, groovy bass and tons of vocals.
Noname creates a wall of sound to scream along with, this music is the
kind of revolution that Ray wanted, and hoped would never stop
inspiring.
The band lead singer and creative core Ray insisted on live performance
in Xi'an City of China for up to 20 more years, and continued to create his own
style of music, so that "Angry onlookers" (Band) was formed and became a
punk veritable in 1998. In early 1999, it was renamed the “EvilHeart”.When
end of 2001,The Noname come into the world.
At the end of 2003, the band participated in the recording of the Xi'an
independent label "Time Recording" and released the song "NONAME".
Of course, the only official single "WHERE TO GO" left by the EvilHeart
Band is also included.
In July 2004, NONAME band Release their debut EP 《We Don’t Need That
Shit！！！
Afterwards, the band toured six major cities in China, and the performance
was extremely hot. Punk fans around the world responded enthusiastically.
The band was invited to conduct exclusive interviews on radio stations and
music magazines.
In 2005, the "Next Generation" compilation released by Korea ChaosClass
Records included two singles of NONAME.
In early 2006 the band recorded and released the second EP 《Get Free》.
In November 2006, signed a contract with the German punk label Razorblade
Music (PunkCore Europe). The company's well-known punk rock bands
include Action, SS-KALIERT, HellRatz, etc.
In 2007, Ray Moved to Beijing , and THE
NONAME rose rapidly as a new punk force. In May, as China's first Old School pun
k orchestra, it signed a contract with the famous domestic Recoreds "Modern Sky
July, the band's first album 《SICK AND TIRED...》was released in Europe
and caused a lot of shock. The single "No Tie To Think" ranked second on the
independent radio charts. Several other singles "TVS" and "Under the Flag" of
the album continued to be popular in the charts.
The band also participated in the rock documentary 《Soul in the Sun》
produced by Shanghai Film and Television Company.
The first in the history of the album's original creation is to use classical Chinese a
nd English to combine words, integrate traditional Chinese musical instruments, a
nd is accompanied by the pure punk rock style song 《Chaos ChangAn》.
New singles and three other punk bands from Europe and the United
States were released in the spring of 2008 as a 7-inch record compilation.
In November 2007, "Modern Sky" officially released the first album of the
mainland version, THE NONAME once again triggered another agitated storm
in mainland rock music.
At this time, the orchestra began to attract the attention of Chinese
fashion magazines and the media. It was interviewed and acted as a variety of
endorsements. Some of the famous fashion brands have also begun to design
dolls and products around The NONAME image. This is frist in the Chinese
rock industry and entertainment.
After that, People's Records of Japan released the first album of THE
NONAME.
The successful European tour in March 2008 made more people hear and love
their voices.
In early 2009, a SPLIT EP was released together with THE SCARRED From
American record company PUNK CORE, and the band's voice began to spread
more throughout the United States.Europe release by “Contra records”.
At the same time, Malaysia's Corerockmoon Records released The
NONAME's first album.
In May 2009, The Band was a special guest for the Chinese tour of the British
band SHAM 69 and received full sponsorship support from Umbro; worldwide
promotion of the 2009 new England football team uniform.
In 2009, Sugar Coated Culture and Kids-Union Records jointly released Band
new EP "Who Will Survive". This chapter EP contains a two-hand mixed
version, which was completed by the "ZouLe"band Li Yan（PetFace）.
In 2010 the band released their second full album and toured the UK;
In 2011, the band launched a SPLIT EP of THE NONAME/DANCERS/FIRE
PANDA three bands from Sugar Coated Culture and Kids-Union Records.
In early 2012, the music film ``Dragon City'', which was filmed by American
director Darryl with the theme of THE NONAME's new songs, was released in
the United States.
In the same year, the solidarity collection "PUNK AID: JAKARTACALLING"
initiated by the American label: EvacuateRecords included the band's latest
single 《We Don’t Need Your Rules》.
The 2013 tour documentary 《THIS BAND IS SO GORGEOUS》by SHAM 69
and THENONAME was released.
The band returned to Xi'an from 2014 to 2017, temporarily suspending all
activities.
2017
From the end of 2017 to the beginning of 2018, Ray Yao released an EP
《InYour Heart》，in the form of individuals and friends.
The band reture at end of 2019,and got Gibson China support at 2020;
2020.10.18，the band release a tribute single <Bad Moon Rising>(CCR Cover）;
2021 was the 20th anniversary of the band. The German company Smith &
Miller Records will be released in Europe in July 2021. It is filed and approved
by the German national copyright agency GEMA. The release method is LP
double vinyl (color plastic) + online album.
Digital and limited physical releases in the Asia-Pacific region, and Mordam
Music in North America for distribution;
This album contains 22 songs distributed on the AB side of two vinyl albums,
of which 10 classic songs from previous albums/EPs are remixed (REMIX), and
the others are from the latest album tracks.
The album cover and surrounding design work was jointly created by the
famous German designer CorMania and the lead singer of the famous Berlin
punk rock band BadCo. Projec.
The band then released a split EP: "Boston to Xi'an" with the American band
BIG D AND THE KIDS TABLE. The two new songs were produced by Matt
Appleton of the American band Reel Big Fish and guest-recorded saxophone.
